It is important to get adequate amounts of sun, fifteen to 20 minutes with 60% of the body exposed to the sun at least three times a week should give you adequate amounts of vitamin D. UVB rays produced by the sun enable our bodies to manufacture vitamin D in our fatty layers directly under the skin. Vitamin D is also necessary for bone health and boosts the immune system.
